As summer winds down, Artist For Action continues to harness the power of music, creativity, and community to drive change. Through cross-country tours and international activations, we’re amplifying advocacy, sparking urgent conversations, and working to build safer, more connected communities.

Here’s a look at how we showed up this season—and where we’re headed next:

Our Lady Peace × AFA: The Summer Unity Tour

This summer, Our Lady Peace hit the road with more than music. On their Summer Unity Tour with Live and Collective Soul, the Canadian rock band partnered with Artist For Action to center gun violence prevention and youth mental health at every stop.

Other than speaking about the issues on stage every night and inviting Mark Barden to join them on stage during the tour for their hit "Somewhere Out There," the band is donating proceeds from custom tour merch to Artist For Action, and offered fans the chance to win a signed OLP × AFA custom Gibson Les Paul via Fandrop. It was a powerful collision of purpose and performance.

Dave Stewart × Peace One Day: International Day of Peace in London

On September 21, the International Day of Peace, legendary artist and producer Dave Stewart will bring the Artist For Action message to the global stage. The Peace One Day Celebration will include Stewart along with Daryl Hall, Basement Jaxx, Jude Law, Jeremy Gilley, Mark Barden, Matthew Reich and other changemakers. The broadcast event will spotlight gun violence prevention, mental wellness, and the power of creativity as a global force for peace.

A Call to Action: Minneapolis Church Shooting and the Road Ahead

August was also marked by tragedy. On August 27, a mass shooting during school Mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis claimed the lives of two children and injured several others. This horrifying act is yet another reminder: we must do more to ensure schools, churches, and all public spaces are safe for everyone.

Gun violence is preventable—but only if we act.

Artist For Action and Sandy Hook Promise are working every day to create a safer, more compassionate world. Here’s how you can get involved right now:

  • Volunteer: Bring prevention programs to your school, community, or city.

  • Donate: Support life-saving efforts like the Know the Signs program, which empowers students and adults to recognize warning signs before violence occurs.

  • Vote: Elect leaders who support proven, evidence-based solutions to end gun violence and protect our kids.

Together, we’re turning music into movement. Visit artistforaction.com to learn more and take action.
