Our core partnership is with Sandy Hook Promise, one of the nation’s leading gun violence prevention organizations. Founded in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, SHP has reached over 35 million people with its proven, research-informed programs. This partnership is rooted in shared leadership and lived experience. Mark Barden, a co-founder of Sandy Hook Promise and the father of Daniel, who was killed at Sandy Hook, is also the co-founder of Artist For Action. His dual role has helped build a unique bridge between grassroots prevention work and the power of arts as a force for change. Through this connection, we’re able to amplify SHP’s critical work through artist-led campaigns, concerts, educational content, and national storytelling.
